My story

Hi, I’m Ferendi! I’m a lovable, ball-obsessed guy with a heart full of affection and a tail that curls just right. Playing fetch is my absolute favorite thing in the world. I’m so serious about the ball that I’ll even dribble it right to your feet with my nose like a pro. If you throw the ball, you’re instantly my hero!I’m somewhat active, not over the top, but I need plenty of playtime, especially in a fenced yard where I can chase my beloved ball. I’m also a big snuggler and love cuddling with my favorite humans, including kids (I live with a 7-year-old now and think they’re awesome).When I meet new people, I’m excited and friendly. Around other animals, I’m a work in progress. I’m learning to be calmer on leash around dogs through training, and I’m making real progress every day. Recently, I even walked calmly alongside a calm Great Pyrenees and stayed low-key when seeing two other dogs, which is a huge win for me! With the right introductions and continued patience, I have the potential to do well with the right dog friend, but for now, I’d do best as the only pet.I’m a natural guardian and will bark to protect my home, but outside, I’m all friendly vibes. Loud noises like trucks, bikes, motorcycles, or thunderstorms don’t bother me at all. I’m crate trained, ride well in the car, and even enjoy bath time.I already know basic commands and love learning new things—I’m smart and eager to please. Enrichment activities like agility or nose work would be right up my alley, too!My ideal home would have a yard where I can run and chase my ball, plus a family who wants to keep building on my training and having fun together. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart companion with a little guardian spirit but a laid-back attitude, I might be the perfect match.I’m ready to be someone’s best friend for life. Could that be you?
