Hi, I’m Opie—and I’m a professional snuggler, part-time goofball, and full-time heart-stealer! I love to play and try new things (I gave real-life Frogger a shot once… let’s just say I was better on the computer). That little adventure landed me in the vet’s office after I got hit by a car. I lost an eye and a leg, but I never lost my love for life. Some amazing people got me the help I needed, and UAAF took me in so I could heal and get ready for my next big adventure—finding my forever family. I get along great with people and other dogs, and I’d love a sibling (canine or human). I’m housetrained, use the dog door when I can, or go to the door to let you know when nature calls. My foster mom says I’m a total sweetheart—though we’re still not sure how I feel about cats. If you’re looking for a resilient, loving, playful pup with lots of personality and even more cuddles to give, I’m your guy. Let’s make some new memories (and maybe invent our own game)! Opie has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Opie has recovered from his surgeries and, in the words of his vet, he’s ready to be a dog again! If you are interested in adopting Opie, please complete an adoption application on our website. Just go to uaaf.org/adopt. For more information, call/text Randee at 801-232-8157 or email randeekrichardson@gmail.com.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Opie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
