My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.Zane appreciates attention and petting. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior. Zane may be intimidated by small children, any home with older children prepared to adopt this cat should conduct a thorough interaction and endeavor to monitor this cat around their children to prevent these behaviors from being reinforced.A volunteer writes: Zane looks like he hasn't yet grown into his paws and it's quite possible he hasn't because Zane's a little baby. Well, maybe a bigger baby, but even at 11 months, we see his kitten approach to life when it comes to toys and pets. Zane's perpetual look of surprise as he holds his toys in his giant paws makes him look like he's wondering how it got there. He plays so gently that he's practically tentative as he reaches for his toys and looks to make sure he's doing it correctly. Since he'd had his paws stretched out, we played a bit and then Zane had a more thorough welcome in order. Leaning his head into my hand, he kept his paws outstretched and his heart open.
