Kringle

My story

Kringle is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours! Scroll through her pictures to see her cute videos! Kringle is a gorgeous shepherd mix from southern Texas. She was found outside of Houston along with her 3 siblings and mom. All 4 pups and mom were brought to a rescue on a beautiful and rural ranch where they were raised. There are not many adopters in that part of Texas, so Kringle and her family made their way north to various rescues in the hopes of being adopted. Kringle was raised among dogs and few people except her kind and loving handlers, many of whom live on the property. She is a total sweetheart, but she is extremely shy with people at first, having not been exposed to very many early on. With dogs she has no problem- she speaks their language! The key to seeing a lively side of Kringle is to bring her around dogs, as you can see in her videos! But if you meet her, she is not the kind of gal that is going to come up to you for pets-- you will have to work on it and be patient! The good thing is-- Kringle loves food! So it has not been hard to win her over. Kringle came to us not knowing how to walk on a leash at all, and has made amazing strides! We walk her with another dg from our kennel, one of her pals, and she is fine! She is still a bit hesitant on her own, but is clearly so smart and will pick this up quickly! We do not feel it is absolutely essential for Kringle to have another dog companion, but it would be very beneficial. At minimum, she will need someone who is committed to continuing to provide her with dog- dog time- she really craves that! We hope you will ask about Kringle today! Kringle’s adoption fee is $250. Kringle is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
