My story

Dutch Coco may currently be just shy of 52lbs, but he still has a lot of growing to do! This big guy is the classic puppy – excitable, wiggly, and high-energy! Coco came to the shelter when a family member sadly had unmanageable allergies and now he’s searching for a household that can offer him the structure and training he needs to become the best canine citizen he can be! His family described him as “playful, energetics loves walks, enjoys people.” Coco is reportedly crate-trained and responds to the commands “sit,” “down,” and “shake.” If your household has a large, puppy-sized piece missing, bring your whole family (dogs included!) to meet Dutch Coco today!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
