My story

Apply to Adopt Me! Do you love floppy pink ears, big brown eyes and pretty white fur? Well, if you do, then Jax is your guy. Jax is an approx. 9yo Chihuahua mix weighing 14 lbs. He was living with nine other Chihuahuas in a home with his mom and dad. Tragically, they both died days apart in separate terrible accidents. Jax is a shy, quiet and sometimes independent little guy. He doesn’t participate much with his foster buddies, but he enjoys sitting on the couch and watching them. Jax loves going for walks and he does very well on harness and leash. He is house trained and sits quietly on car rides. Although Jax is shy initially, when he feels safe he’s like a little Velcro dog. He follows and observes everything you do around the house. He’s learning to be affectionate watching all the other dogs, and he looks at you as if to say I want some of that too. So he’s been getting lots of love and cuddles. He really wants to be loved. He is people friendly and gets along with dogs on walks and all of his small fur siblings at his foster home. We are requiring an all-adult, calm home for him. He’s a really good boy and would love to find his forever home with someone who will give him the love he deserves. Jax has a heart murmur, narrowing of the trachea and enlargement of the heart, as well as heart arrhythmia, which he takes cough and heart meds for, and will need to remain on.
