0425082 - Meet Bayla – Your Happy-Go-Lucky Silver Lab! Bayla is a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old silver Labrador Retriever looking for her forever home! True to her breed, Bayla is a friendly, loyal companion who loves being around her people. Whether you’re working from home or enjoying a lazy weekend, she’ll be right by your side. Bayla has done well with a variety of dogs in her foster home, though she’d also thrive as the only dog. If you do have another pup, Bayla prefers canine companions around her own size (40–70 lbs). She enjoys daily walks, listens well off-leash, and is house trained. After some exercise, she’s perfectly content to lounge around for the rest of the day. Bayla has previously lived with children and seems to really enjoy their company. She’s not destructive and generally has a calm, relaxed demeanor. However, she does have a strong prey drive — birds are especially tempting — and she was originally rehomed for chasing chickens, so a home without small livestock is best. Bayla would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time (remote workers, retirees, etc.). She experiences some separation anxiety, especially when she knows you’re nearby but can’t reach you or when you first leave and she will bark in those situations — so apartment or condo living isn’t ideal.
