Hi friendly people, I am the incredible Indy and here's some information about me: Name: IndyAge: 4 years old Breed: Indian Pariah Mountain DogWeight: 35-40lbs Height: 21"Gender: Female I grew up as a puppy on the streets of India, and was hit by a car when I was still just a pup. A rescue over there saved my damaged leg, but had to amputate my tail. My luck soon changed when a lovely family from Canada decided to adopt me! ( https://www.instagram.com/reel/CaqGfxPI1GB/) People think that I am extremely smart and I oblige with a few tricks up my sleeve, like ringing the door bell to come inside or go out, bringing in the amazon packages, speaking and doing other tricks. I love to learn and pick up new tricks quickly. My favourite thing is sitting on the sunny porch, doing some people watching. Instead of walking, I'll go skipping along to greet you, especially if you have a bone to offer. I am a bona-fide treat enthusiast! When I hear videos of other dogs howling, I happily join along in singing the songs of my pack. Being a kind and loving dog, I adore the little human in the family and we get along extremely well. It's not that I am the mothering type, I just like to play with kids (and be a bit of a kid myself sometimes). I get along well with other dogs, especially ones my size and showed a foster dog the ropes in their new environment Over the years I have learnt that cats are a different kind of animal, so I respect their space, even though they still get me excited sometimes. In the three years I've been in Canada, I have never had a pee accident inside the house; some say I have a bladder of steel. Since I had nerve damage in my rectum from the car accident, I however have sleep incontinence. When I go into a deep sleep or get really relaxed, I might leave an unexpected number two. My people have tried out various things to help me with this and found that Kirkland salmon dog food and probiotic chews help. Unfortunately it seems I am allergic to beef, so please avoid that if you don't like a mess. In place of a dog bed, I have a lifted cot with blankets that are easier to clean. Exercise helps me to poop predictably, but I really struggle in cold temperatures (< 10 deg C) to go outside. Therefore, my people who live in Calgary are looking to find me a home in a warmer climate. I've heard that Vancouver is amazing! They have also been kind enough to offer to drive me down to the coast if I find a new forever home in BC. I fair much better in the summer months and have happily joined my people to visit friends and shops. Under normal circumstances, when moving or standing, I don't have any problems keeping the poop in. I'm fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. An adoption fee of $100 applies.
