My story

WATCH MY VIDEO...2-year-old Cooper is usually such a happy fellow, but after going from shelter to shelter, he is beginning to lose hope of ever getting adopted. Cooper came from another shelter, so his past is a mystery, but what we do know is that he is super friendly and fun-loving, he knows “sit,” (he’s still working on “stay”) and takes his treats so nicely. Cooper has lots of energy and loves chasing a ball, playing with toys, and coming in for big back scratches. He’s curious about other dogs, but does not seem reactive to them. Because of his energy level, he’s best with older children until he gets some training. It is unknown how he is with cats. Right now, Cooper is also bravely battling Heartworm disease. His heartworm treatment will be provided for free by our shelter, even after adoption, and usually takes just a few months to complete. Cooper has so much joy to share, he just needs someone to give him a chance. Are you the loving family Cooper is dreaming of? Thanks to Enabled Remodeler, they have kindly paid his adoption fee.To meet Cooper or any other pet, please complete a pre-adoption application at humanebroward.com and then stop by. The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and the adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. if you have questions call 954-989-3977.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt COOPER, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
