My story

This is Peso, a sweet young girl who is very shy with strangers at first. But it doesn’t take long for her to decide you’re her new best friend. All it really takes it getting her out of her kennel, preferably first thing in the morning, because she appears to be very housetrained and appreciates an early opportunity to feel relieved! Peso can be a little shy on walks, too – it appears she wasn’t socialized to a lot of everyday things when she was very young. But she’s working on gaining confidence with the help of a few human friends in the shelter. Once she warms up to you, Peso becomes playful and affectionate, seeking belly rubs and bouncing around near you. We’re still getting to know her, but it’s a joy to see a dog coming into her own and learning to trust.
