My story

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Lorelai — a bright, affectionate, and endlessly fun-loving companion who's looking for a home as energetic and full of life as she is! At 41 lbs, this joyful girl may be listed as 4 years old by the shelter, but she brings the playful spirit and curiosity of a much younger pup. With a colorful mix of breeds in her DNA, Lorelai’s unique personality shines through in everything she does — from her boundless enthusiasm for playtime to her heartwarming snuggles when the day winds down. Lorelai is a smart and active girl who thrives on structure and connection. She’s highly motivated and picks up on routines quickly, often learning by watching the other dogs in her foster home. She knows “sit” well and is currently working on “stay,” “shake,” and polite greetings (she’s just  so  excited to meet you, sometimes she forgets not to jump!). She’s also fully house-trained and lets you know when it’s time to go out by heading to the door or giving a little bark. When it’s time to settle, Lorelai happily heads to her crate, especially when there’s a delicious meal or a stuffed Kong waiting for her. She’s great in the car and walks nicely on leash, adjusting quickly to new experiences with a little patience and encouragement. Lorelai absolutely loves having toys to chew and play with, and when she’s not romping around with her doggy friends, you’ll often find her curled up with a soft stuffed toy for a good cuddle. Social and affectionate, Lorelai is wonderful with people and other dogs, making her an ideal family dog or a great match for a single person or couple ready to invest time and love into an active new best friend. While she’s not a fit for homes with livestock, she does great in just about every other setting — especially if there’s room to run and people to play with. At the end of the day, after all the zoomies and play sessions, Lorelai turns into a snuggly lovebug, ready to curl up on the couch or in bed with her human for some well-earned relaxation. She’s the perfect mix of energy and heart — a companion who will keep you moving, keep you laughing, and fill your life with unconditional love. Are you ready to meet the sweetest, silliest new member of your family? Lorelai can’t wait to meet you!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 27, 2025, 10:40 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lorelai, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
