Meet Fabienne — a gentle soul with a heart of gold! This quiet, sweet girl is the definition of low-maintenance companionship. She's wonderful with other dogs, loves cats, and greets new people with friendly ease. She walks beautifully on a leash, doesn’t beg at the table, and rides like a champ in the car (or tucked into her little pup sac!). Loud noises like vacuums or hairdryers don’t faze her, and she sleeps soundly through the night in her cozy bed. Fabienne is happiest relaxing near her person and quietly taking in the world. She doesn’t yet jump on furniture and isn’t sure what to make of “dog play,” but she’s perfectly content to calmly observe and soak up the companionship. She’s still working on a few things—like potty training, navigating stairs, and feeling confident crossing busy roads. She isn’t a fan of being in a pen, but progress is being made! While she did growl once when another dog approached her person on her lap, she otherwise shows polite and peaceful behavior with other animals. Fabienne would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue to build confidence and feel secure. With patience and love, she’ll be an incredibly devoted and peaceful companion. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fabienne, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
