My story

Meet Magoo (aka Goo), a young cat with a big personality and a big appetite. This sweet little guy had a rough beginning to life, as he was the lone survivor of his litter and spent his early days in a feral colony. He has come a long way but can still get shy and may be spooked easily from loud noises or quick movements. Goo is full of quirks that will make you smile. He makes the silliest sounds when he`s hungry or playful, and his purr? It’s like a fish bubbling underwater—absolutely adorable. Mealtime is his favourite part of the day; he gets so excited he zooms around in circles, barely able to contain himself. He’s still finding his voice, so when he wants something, he opens his mouth wide and lets out a tiny, squeak from his pink little mouth. Magoo is extremely food-motivated, which can make him a bit mischievous. If it’s edible (or even smells edible), he’s going for it—so no food should be left out on counters or in the sink. When he’s feeling confident and happy, Magoo becomes incredibly affectionate, asking for head rubs and butt scratches. He’s still warming up to being picked up, but he’s improving with the help of tasty treats. He hasn’t been around dogs or small children, so a calm home with adults or older kids would suit him best, as too much activity might overwhelm him.Goo loves cardboard. He naps in his cardboard scratcher more than anywhere else. He also adores wand toys and keeps himself entertained with a variety of toys. He’s healthy, requires no medications, uses his litter box like a pro, and doesn’t scratch furniture.Food has been the key to building Magoo’s confidence with people, and we’re sure he’ll continue to blossom with time and love. One absolute requirement for Magoo’s future home is another cat who wants companionship. He’s completely smitten with our resident cat, and their bond has helped him feel safe and grow emotionally. If our cat is sitting on a lap, Goo will eventually join—but only once his buddy is already there. He needs a feline friend who will play, cuddle, and truly bond with him. Goo doesn`t want to just be a cat in the house—he wants to be part of a pair. Magoo must be adopted as a buddy to a friendly resident cat.Magoo was previously infected with panleukopenia, which causes him to have an unsteady gait and mild mobility issues. Magoo is not contagious and is immune from being infected again, but his mobility issues are likely permanent. He does not suff
