My story

Meet Easy – the dog who lives up to his name in the best way possible. No chaos, no drama, just chill vibes, soulful eyes, and a strong preference for couch cuddles. 🛋️💕 This gentle guy is quiet as a mouse (unless your dog starts something first – then he might politely chime in). He's good with other dogs, cool with older kids, and totally unbothered by busy streets, squirrels with bad attitudes, or even rambunctious children in public places. He's been to parks, beer gardens, and even Home Goods—and has remained calm, collected, and velcro-close to his person every time. Easy has recently had his dental work done (yay!), and while he did lose 22 teeth, he's recovering like a champ. He’ll need someone who’s proactive about dental care to help him keep the remaining teeth in tip-top shape, but he’s feeling so much better now that his mouth is no longer bothering him. Car rides used to be his nemesis, but Easy's been incredibly brave and has made huge progress. While he still gets a bit nervous, he now settles calmly and rides like a pro. We suspect he had some past transport trauma, but with patience and consistency, he’s shown how resilient he really is. He’s also gained a ton of confidence! His separation anxiety has improved significantly—he might whimper a bit when you leave, but he soon settles on the couch with his favorite blanket, like the emotionally mature couch potato he was always meant to be. Easy is housebroken (he’ll give you a little whine when nature calls), learning to self-soothe like a true zen master, and while he’d prefer to always have you in his line of sight, he’s getting more independent by the day. He’s also a big fan of walks and will happily trot along like your shy, polite little shadow. At night, just tuck his crate beside your bed, and he’ll settle in like a little bedtime angel. He hasn’t met cats yet, but so far, he’s shown zero prey drive—unlike certain other dogs we know (side-eye at resident dog). Basically, Easy is the emotional support dog you didn’t know you needed—quiet, cuddly, and sweet to his core. Adopt this old soul and level up your snuggle game. 💖 If you are interested in finding out more about Easy, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Easy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
