LORENA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:   Lorena         Best Guess for Breed:  Lab/Terrier mix  Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of May 2025         SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 29 lbs   Gets Along With:  Lorena does well with other dogs. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster. Lorena needs a forever home!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Lorena would do well with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can spend time with other dogs regularly, to learn the ropes from them.    Lorena is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweetie comes all the way from Vieques, a small island off the coast of Puerto Rico, to find her own humans. She's young, hasn't seen nearly enough of the world, and is oh so eager for sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her family can dream up. Making new pup pals along the way - yes please! Snuggles and cuddles are high on her wish list - she is SWEET - but you know what she wants most of all? To know she's safe and loved and under her roof for all her days.    What do you say? Does Lorena have a spot in your lap and your life? What My Foster Says About Me:   Lorena has been settling in well. She's great on leash and in the crate. She can be timid at first but very sweet once you win her over. She has a beautiful coat and eyes and is the perfect size for an apartment or condo. She also LOVES her little toy burger that she had in the shelter. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
