My story

Meet Ramona! Ramona is a sweet, affectionate, and loyal girl ready to find her forever home. Likely a Doberman/Rottweiler mix and around 5 years old, she has the heart of a true companion—devoted, loving, and happiest when she’s right by your side. Ramona is fully house-trained, crate-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. She loves toys, enjoys long sniffy walks, and takes treats with gentle manners. She’s incredibly affectionate and tends to bond closely with her person, often staying by your side throughout the day. She’s generally indifferent to other dogs when out walking and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors when left alone in the house. While she’s still adjusting to life outside the shelter, we’ve noticed that Ramona seems to prefer being the only dog in the home. She enjoys having her person’s full attention and might thrive best as the center of someone’s world. We haven’t had a chance to observe her with kids or cats yet. Ramona is in good health—very athletic, with bright eyes and clean teeth. The veterinarian who examined her believes she may have had several litters in her short life, but she is now spayed and ready for her next chapter.
