My story

Meet Punkin! This incredible blue-grey pit bull radiates resilience and sweetness in every way imaginable. At just over a year old and weighing 55 lbs, Punkin has triumphed over a challenging past, likely involving at least one litter of puppies. Rescued from a dire situation where she was found hanging upside down from a fence, with a rope cruelly wrapped around her waist and leg, Punkin faced severe leg injuries that led to amputation. Despite these hardships, Punkin has faced her recovery with inspiring grace and determination. Now flourishing in foster care, she is gaining the weight and strength she so deserves. Adjusting to life on three legs, her playful sprints will leave you in awe. Punkin is house and crate-trained, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and spayed. With a joyful spirit, she eagerly awaits meals and new adventures, often breaking into a happy dance at the sight of her favorite people. Content and calm even after some time in her crate, she occasionally lets out the cutest little howls. While her interactions with other dogs have been somewhat limited, she consistently demonstrates friendliness, even towards canines that test her patience. On the leash, she walks reasonably well, though her excitement might cause her to pull if her human lags behind. Initially a bit shy with newcomers, she warms up quickly, showering you with sweet kisses in return for pets and belly rubs—guaranteed to brighten your day! Punkin is ready to become a beloved companion for an active family. Given her energy and size, she may not be the best fit for households with very small children, as she can occasionally forget her own strength.
