My story

Let's roll out the red carpet for the most handsomest boy in town! His name is Woowoo Wookie and he is a gentle giant with the most charming personality. He is by far one of the gentlest and most easy-going dogs I have ever met. His foster mom even says that out of all of the dog's she has fostered, he is in the top 5 of best and easiest dogs she has ever fostered hands down. Wookie has perfect house manners, he is so mellow and laid back all the time, he's the perfect amount of affectionate, and he loves people. Just imagine coming home and being greeted by this lovable beefcake with those beautiful soulful eyes looking up at you everyday. That paints a pretty perfect picture if you ask me. Watch his video and see for yourself how easy and mellow Wookie is: https://youtu.be/hfa0ON78Mlc?si=IwOdgVISA46deT4V Woowoo Wookie is an American pittie mix approximately 5 years old and currently weighs 80 lbs. He comes packed with lap-sitting ambition, gentle love, and expert-level love "leans." Woowoo is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Speaking of not being able to guarantee breed, Woowoo has the best feet!!! We know, kinda weird to obsess over a dog's feet but we can't help it. For one thing his feet are huge (not in a weird way) and his feet are webbed, like he has some sort of water dog breed mixed in there somewhere. We aren't sure if he likes water or not and we can test that for you if you like, all we know is that he certainly has the paws for it if he does. Wookie is a natural born people's dog. He loves people and loves everyone that he meets. His foster family says he's even great when they have visitors over and welcomes everyone at the door like the gentleman he is. He doesn't jump when people come over, get overly excited, or even bark when the door bell rings or when someone knocks on the door. He is calm and gentle with everyone he meets, even strangers he meets out in public. His foster mom says he's very much an "old soul" type of guy, so easy to spend hours with and so incredibly loving. She is constantly saying he's a gentle giant and the easiest dog. He loves to show affection and likes to pretend he's a lap dog LOL and loves hugs! Seriously though...he loves to hug. He will just sit there, let you wrap you arms around him and will embrace every second of that hug. Woowoo is also the type of guy that will snuggle all day if you wanted to. He's the best snuggle buddy and doesn't even require any exercise before wanting to cuddle. He's very happy and content to being lazy all day if you're having a lazy day. Let's be honest though, who wouldn't want to snuggle all day with this gentle giant?! Doesn't he sound like the most perfect dog?! That's because he is LOL but there is even more to love about him. Wookie has INCREDIBLE house manners. Seriously fantastic house manners. He is fully trusted to be left free roaming unattended in his foster home and is sometimes left for 5hrs at a time. Every single time Wookie has had zero accidents, shoes are destroyed or remotes, things are left on the counters where they are suppose to be, and he's a quiet as a mouse. His foster mom has a doggy camera to check in on him from time to time and she says that he is on the couch snoozing away every single time she checks it. He is crate trained as well if you prefer to use a crate while no one is home. Even in the crate he is quiet, doesn't try to get out, or make any messes in his crate. He's a funny guy and knows the couch life is way better than the crate life. So he requires that you to pay the crate tax with a treat when you want him to kennel up. He's even fine if you wanted to put him in his crate while you're home too. He isn't going to whine in his crate because he sees you or knows that your home and wants to be out. Now, he will give you the best sad face puppy dog eyes you've probably ever seen LOL. It was mentioned about a few times that Wookie is super quiet in multiple scenarios. I want to mention that again because his foster mom made it a point to mention that he's so quiet even her neighbors forget that they have a dog at the house. Nothing phases this guy! She says the only time she ever hears him make a peep or bark is when he's ready to come inside. Wookie is definitely a couch potato, a literal house hippo, and pretty lazy for the most part LOL. He enjoys being outside for short periods hanging out on the patio when the weather is nice but ultimately, he's a A/C couch dog. He does appreciate going on walks if you wanted to go on a stroll but he certainly does not need it. His mellow and chill vibe is the way he is from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to bed. The only time he gets a little more excited is when it's breakfast and dinner time! He knows exactly when that clock hits 7am and 5pm. The boy doesn't miss a meal LOL and the way he tells you its dinner time is so funny. He'll stand by the pantry door and just look at you with his tail wagging and if he feels didn't understand the first time, he'll come up to you and give you his paw. It's actually pretty cute. Even with his love for food and his size, he's not jumping for his dinner knocking the food out of your hand, trying to get into the food bag or anything like that. When you're cooking or eating dinner at the table, he is close by but is not begging. He just sits there and hopes a few crumbs fall on the ground. Now, he does drool when food is involved but he's sure to not give you slobbery kisses and is totally fine with you wiping his face. Woowoo is dog friendly and he has been introduced to a variety of dogs all with varying personalities and has done great with all of them. Wookie isn't super interested or really care too much to interact with other dogs. He's the type that just likes to hangout and explore the yard, do his own thing, or hanging out with his people. Which is definitely where he prefers to be in general. He's much more of a people's dog than a dog's dog. He does great on walks when he sees other dogs too. We honestly believe that Wookie would be happiest being your one and only fur baby in the home. He doesn't the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable or open up nor does he need another dog to fulfill his energy needs. He is a couch potato at his core. Wookie would also do best in a home without any kitty friends as well. Woowoo is also a gentle and loving boy even with kids. He is currently fostered with kids ages 7,13, and 19 loves them all and does good with the kids that come over and visit. He's not phased by them running around in the backyard, playing video games, or getting rowdy in the house. Wookie just hangs out. He has been around kids ages 4 and 6 and was a gentle king around both of them. He took treats gently, was not jumpy, knocking them over, and was completely relaxed around them. He even snuggled up on the couch with a 4 year old and was mindful and respectful of his size. Wookie does believe he is a your personal weighted blanket but he is good about going to lay down when you're done loving on him or if your leg is asleep LOL. Honestly, I can go on and on about this dog, I really can because there really isn't one bad thing I or even his foster mom can say about him. All he wants is a couch to lay on and to be around people. He's a simple guy. We are willing to test WooWoo with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
