My story

  Cuddly Theo wants to be with you but isn’t TOO needy. Theo has not met a lap he doesn’t love to sprawl across! He’ll clamber on top of you with his pleasantly plump body and make soft snorts and grunts of contentment. If you’re lucky, he’ll do a superman pose with two paws on the ground and two paws extended to better fight crime. He especially loves to lie across a pregnant belly. Theo is not exactly the most active cat. He performs light exercise a few times a day—mainly when he moves from room to room to keep you company. Theo is a real family cat. He wants to be where everyone is! But he also has an independent streak, so he’s not always in your way. He is not all that food-motivated (in spite of his plus size) and will let you sleep in, which is a great quality in a cat. Theo has had a tough go of it recently! He’s recovered from back-to-back eyelid surgeries to fix a case of entropion. His eyes are back to normal and soon the hair around his eyes will have fully regrown. He also had a grooming session that didn’t go as planned, and his hair is uneven in places as a result. He has been a trooper through his various medical procedures and is ready to relax and kick back in his forever home. Theo makes friends with strangers pretty quickly (ie, by straddling their laps). He has adorable muttonchops and is a healthy groomer. At only 6 years old, he demonstrates the poise and maturity of an adult cat while still having youth on his side. Adoption fees are as follows, plus tax: $150 for large adult dogs (older than 1 year); $250 for small dogs (under 25 lbs) and all puppies (under 1 year); $60 for adult cats (over 6 months of age), $100 for kittens (under 6 months of age), and $25 for small animals. When you adopt a pair of kittens together, the total adoption fee is $150.  PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia's homeless and at-risk animals.
