My story

Meet Rupert! 1.5-year-old male GSD mix – neutered Rupert is a gentle, playful, and incredibly resilient boy with a story that will break your heart and warm it at the same time. At just 8 weeks old, Rupert beat the odds and survived parvo—a deadly virus for puppies. Tragically, after his recovery, the yard owner where he was staying made the unthinkable decision to kill some of the other survivors out of fear of the virus spreading. Rupert was one of the lucky few who made it out alive. Now 1.5 years old, Rupert is thriving. He’s great with other dogs and absolutely adores children—he even plays sweetly with toddlers as young as 3. He’s fully potty trained and currently working on his leash skills. Rupert is currently in Kuwait, waiting for a trial family to commit to a 10-day trial and help him begin his happily-ever-after. His adoption fee is $500, which helps cover medical care and travel.
