Good day world. My name is Tobby and here is some info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Canaan dog mixGender : femaleAge: 3-1/2 yearsWeight: 26 kgHeight: 60 cmCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: intelligent, social, calm, well-mannered, tender-hearted Being well-mannered and calm, I am ever the loving pup towards humans. The first time my rescuer saw me, it was a cold, dusty day on the street. I was trapped in the middle of an alley by a group of children. They had tied a rope around my neck so tightly that I couldn’t move, and they were throwing stones at me like she was nothing. The shocking part was one of my ears was missing half, all ragged and torn. My rescuer knew she had to act.I think something in my eyes spoke to her of deep pain and helplessness, like I had given up hope a long time ago. My rescuer said her heart broke for me and she ran in to save me. She couldn't bear to see my pain and fear. She brought me to her home area, where she helps feed other dogs too. But she knows I need more than just food. I need love, safety, and a chance to believe in the world again.I was always with a dog named Jumbo, my best friend. We played together, explored and supported each other. Life was better for me with Jumbo. One day though, the sinister animal control came and ruined our oeace. They took me with the intent to kill me. My rescuer ran after me and withh great struggle, got me back. That was a close one, scary. But then tragic heartbreak struck, they came back and shot my buddy Jumbo right in front of me. He was always there to protect me, now he is gone. So now, all of us dogs are in serious danger. My rescuer works day and night trying to ensure our safety. Authorities of our country have displayed violence, terror and pain against us dogs. Thankfully, we also receive love and kindness from our rescuer.I am a tender-hearted girl, who is quite sweet. I do well with kids too. As an intelligent pup, I know I could learn many things living in a different life from this. All while providing you tremendous love and companionship.I'm also a social dog, so if you have friends with pups too that we can go walking with or visiting parks or beaches. I'm all for that. After all I have endured, I think I would thoroughly love living in Canada. Please don’t withhold the chance for me to finally taste happiness and live out a life free from fear. Vids coming soon. Energy level: moderate I am good withDogs: yesKids: yesCats: unknown Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House Training: not yet. Please help me learn! Health notes: One ear is missing half of it.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2384941##
