My story

Oh my heck! Look at this guy!!! Isn't he absolutely adorable?! I don't know what to love more, Cheezer Dorito's forever puppy face, those adorable Dorito shaped floppy ears, or his HAPPY personality. He is the type of dog that would fit into almost any home. Every time you see him, he has the biggest smile on this face and he is happy to see everyone. The term stranger danger does not exist in his vocabulary. When you adopt Cheezer be prepared to have everyone rave about him and want to take him home because that's exactly what is going to happen. He is such a happy go lucky fun loving little guy. Watch his video and fall in love with this happy guy: https://youtu.be/J8t6HIp7Tn4?si=RQVAzOyTP6W7y6yd Cheezer is a pittie mix approximately 1year old and currently weighs 38 lbs. Don't let his pictures fool you! He's a petite guy and the perfect size, not too big and not small, just the right size. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee the breed or age. Its mentioned in his intro but just in case you didn't make the connection, take a close look at his ears and then google a Dorito chip. I know, weird companion but they are almost IDENTICAL to each other. It's one of the very first thing I noticed about Cheezer and then became obsessed. They are just so perfectly shaped that they had to be highlighted. Another thing that we all love about Cheezer is how amazingly dog friendly he is. Cheezer has never met a dog he doesn’t like. He is playful and he invites all of the dogs to join the party. He has an adorable bouncy play style, loves to play chase and even enjoys the occasional wrestling match with the dogs that like that style of play as well. Cheever's social skills with other dogs make him a great potential candidate for doggy daycare. He will respect other dogs that don't want to play with him and will either go off and find a new playmate or he'll just go his own thing. He also is very receptive to other dogs if they set a boundary with him like if they are done playing or if the play got a little too rough, he is respectful of that. Cheezer is great about sharing toys with other dogs too! He would love to play a game of tug of war with his future doggy siblings or race to a ball for a game of fetch. Although, he won't be doing the fetch part, he'll leave that up to the other dog LOL. We would love to see Cheezer in a home with a confident, fun loving, playful dog or could even thrive in a multi-dog home, he’s such a social butterfly and just loves other dogs. Cheezer is a smart lad too! He brings the brains to any training session, very treat motivated and is so eager to please. He is learning “sit” right now and you can tell he is trying SO hard to figure out what you are trying to teach him. It's actually pretty cute how much he wants to please you. You'll see it in his video if you haven't already. He is fairly easy to walk pretty on a leash and pulls sometimes out of excitement to go smell something or say hello to dog passing by. It is very easy to regain his focus and it doesn't take much of a correction to remind him not to pull. He just needs a reminder here and there. Cheezer is crate trained and potty trained as well but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once he arrives at his forever home. With patience, consistency and of course treats, training with Cheezer will be a fun and enjoyable bonding experience for you both. Cheezer really values his outside time and we would love to see him in a home with a backyard where he run around and play, explore all of the smells, play with toys, and enjoy the fresh air with his family. He's so friendly and happy with everyone he meets. He would make an amazing little adventure buddy for a semi active family. Take him to the park, explore those nature trails, go on adventures, take him to your local brewery or beach and watch him win hearts and amass adoring fans. WE have not see Cheezer with kids just yet and we can absolutely test that for you. From what we have seen so far, we believe Cheezer will be happiest with kids 10+. We are willing to test Cheezer with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
