My story

Meet Riddle! This big chunky man has a heart that's just as big as he is. He spends most of his days lounging around in the sun, but he'll be sure to chirp and meow at you when he's ready for pets and cuddle! He would best in a home with low activity and while he can be a bit unsure of new cats, he'd do good with another chill kitty like him! Riddle tested positive for FIV(Feline Immunodeficiency virus). FIV is NOT Feline Leukemia(FeLV). It is a viral infection that makes them immunocompromised and have a harder time fighting off other infections, it is slow-progressing and may never affect a cat. Due to misinformation about the virus, cats like Riddle are frequently euthanized or are considered unadoptable, which is NOT true! FIV is mainly passed to another cat through deep bite wounds (saliva directly in the bloodstream), not any wound. FIV+ cats can live with non-FIV cats too as long as they introduced slowly, as it does not spread through sharing toys, dishes, litterboxes or even sneezing. FIV+ cats can live just as long and healthy lives like any other cats without the virus when kept indoors.
