My story

Ideal Home: A peaceful space with plenty of blankets, scratchers, and someone who enjoys sharing their couch and heart with a quiet, loving lap cat.Meet Angel—a sweet, snuggly senior lady with a gentle soul and a big voice! Angel is affectionate, calm, and loves nothing more than curling up on a cozy blanket or snoozing in a comfy bed near her person. While she’s not a fan of being held, she absolutely adores cuddling beside you and sleeping on you, soaking up every bit of love.Angel has hyperthyroidism and just one tooth, so she’s on a wet food-only diet and can’t eat dry food. She’s also very particular about her water—she likes it fresh and clean! Her morning routine includes letting you know (loudly!) when she’s ready for breakfast or attention, and she won’t hesitate to meow for snuggles and treats.She’s a big fan of catnip, cheek scratches, and soft spots to nap. While she hasn’t been tested with other dogs or kids, she may do well with proper introductions. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
