Foster Home Feedback ** No Cats 5/25/25 Foster Home Feedback:What an absolute sweetie-pie! Campbell has been the best little houseguest during her stay with us. Despite her difficult past, this adorable little doggo has nothing but love to give and deserves only the best from here on out. Her sweet little pitty snorts, grunts, and kisses have endeared her to us and we just know you are gonna fall in love with her, too. Campbell is fully house trained, walks on a leash like a dream, and hardly ever barks (unless her foster siblings get her riled up at the postman). Campbell's favorite past time is snuggling with you on the couch, followed closely by chasing/playing with her ball. She gets along well with her foster siblings, but she would also do fine as a solo pup. If you are interested in Campbell there are a few things to note about this adorable pocket pittie: Campbell has had multiple litters of puppies in her previous life. Obviously these multiple pregnancies have altered her body permanently, (which has resulted in her having a pretty adorable little waddle) but now that she has been spayed Campbell has a new lease on life! She is also learning how to just be a dog for the first time in her life. Campbell needs a lot of time to decompress and feel safe in new situations and her fur-ever home will need to give her the grace to feel comfortable with you. The first week in our house she whined, cried, and panted a lot most likely due to fear. Once she realized she was in a safe space, though, Campbell began to show us just how silly she can be. We have also come to realize that Campbell is mostly deaf, and can only hear certain pitches and sounds. We communicate with her mostly with cheek clicks, clapping, and whistles, so continued training/compassion from her fur-ever folks is an absolute must. Campbell exhibits a strong interest in male dogs and may engage in persistent mating-related behaviors. We anticipate that it will diminish as her hormones adjust after her recent spay. Her foster family is actively working with her through redirection and positive reinforcement, encouraging appropriate interactions, and she continues to make progress in responding to training efforts. 3/29/25 Temporary Care Feedback: Campbell was an absolute sweetheart during my visit! She adores cuddles and being read to, which makes her such a gentle and loving companion. She really enjoys chewing on tennis balls, but I’d recommend using sturdier toys like Kongs, as she tried to tear through the one I brought her. Overall, I had a fantastic time with Campbell today—she’s a joy to be around! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org June 3, 2025, 12:03 am
