My story

My foster writes: Looking for a feline friend with personality plus? Paula is your gal! This charming cat loves to survey her kingdom from the highest perches and then curl up in the coziest nooks. She's an expert communicator who will politely (but persistently!) meow when she wants head scratches or playtime.Paula is a true entertainment enthusiast-she enjoys bird-watching from windows, critiquing squirrel performances, and even watching TV dramas (the more dramatic, the better!). Her sophisticated palate appreciates fine wet food cuisine, while her playful spirit comes alive with laser pointers, feather wands, and toy mice.Whether she's exploring new territories or supervising your Netflix sessions, Paula brings joy, curiosity, and loving companionship to every moment. Ready to add this adorable adventurer to your family? What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I have lived with cats in my previous home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.Paula tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to an adult-only home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: I love Paula because she does her own thing with confidence! As a member of our vibrant cat room community, she has her choice when it comes to where to sit. Mostly Paula enjoys taking her naps close to the window and boy, does she commit! Completely unbothered by her roommates' interest in me and their somewhat peculiar way of showing it, Paula virtually ignored them as they put on a show, hopping around the perimeter and sniffing me from a distance. Anyway, back to Ms. Paula. She hasn't really been the type to roll over and stretch her paws for pets and though she hardly moved a muscle as I petted her, she wasn't exactly nuzzling into my hand either. However, this is a big change from the first time I met Paula. Loafing at the front of her condo like she might want visitors, she hunched herself down low because she kind of didn't. Paula had only wanted to enjoy the view in her own way. Though she still continues to do things her own way, she's cheered when a patient friend comes along. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 6.55 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Paula, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
