My story

Dharma is a gorgeous young German Shepherd with the whole package—beauty, brains, and a heart of gold. She’s as smart as they come but also has a silly, endearing side. One of her signature moves? Leaning in close for pets while flashing you the cutest, derpy smile.Dharma is a sweet, active, and friendly dog who would make a wonderful addition to just about any household. She’s mellow and easygoing, happy with a couple of walks a day and a few fun sessions of fetch to burn off energy. She loves being outside and totally soaks up the pampering when it’s brush time.Dharma is friendly with everyone she meets—both people and other dogs, male and female alike. She walks nicely on leash and continues to improve every day. She’s settling beautifully into her foster home: she appears to be potty trained, is calm and content when left alone (with or without another dog), and is very affectionate and attentive with her foster family.Car rides? Dharma loves them and will hop right in without hesitation! She already knows “sit” and is working on “stay.” Being treat-motivated makes her a quick learner, and she’s picking up new skills with ease.If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and chill companion who’s happy to join you on adventures or just lounge at your side, Dharma might be your perfect match! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal`s location.(If you cannot see the animal`s location, please view the pet`s profile through our website: https://www.seattle.gov/animal-shelter/find-an-animal/adopt)From the Dog Kennels/Kennel Group I/Kennel Group Q (in shelter):To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
