My story

Jersey is a small, mostly hairless mix breed with a heart full of love and a spirit ready to blossom. Though she can be quite nervous in new situations, once she bonds with her person, she adores attention and thrives on connection. Jersey is currently working on her bathroom habits, leash walking, and building confidence through socialization. She would do best in an active, patient home committed to continuing her positive reinforcement training and helping her navigate the big world. With time, Jersey is sure to grow into a loyal and loving companion.*** Although we are mostly hairless, we are NOT hypoallergenic.***IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:10 pounds currently but when fully grown 14/20 poundsHOME TYPE:House, apartment, or town houseCHILDREN:Yes, children potentially compatible.CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatibleACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least three in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training and manners.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:very human social.FAVOURITE THINGS:Playing with her siblings**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets.
