I’ve had her a few weeks now and she is easy peasy! She has been an excellent playmate for my 20 pound dog that likes to romp and has listened well to my 15 pound grumpy dog that needs to police all the fun. Ha!   Pookie kennels great and has had no accidents. She has moments of energy with zoomies & wrestling but then is able to settle on a dog bed and happily chew her bone. Pookie has done awesome with everyone she has met including young, respectful kids. The idea of a stranger doesn’t exist for this girl! She will get easily excited if allowed to bounce around, but redirects easily and has been doing awesome with basic training.  If you are looking for a happy, loving, young dog she is a great choice!  Pookie is a great medium sized dog who only wants to LUV, LUV, LUV! 5/25/25 Foster Feedback: Born in October 2024, Pookie is a sweet, spirited pup full of love and energy. She's currently working on being housebroken—she does great most of the time, but she can have occasional accidents, especially if she's been in her kennel too long or is too excited from playtime. Pookie absolutely *loves* other dogs and is always ready for play, though she’s still learning how to take breaks and read the room. Because of her exuberant personality, she’s not a good fit for homes with cats. Pookie is incredibly affectionate and eager to please, making her a great candidate for continued obedience training. She would thrive with an active, patient owner who can dedicate time each day to helping her grow into her best self. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who's ready to learn and love, Pookie could be the perfect addition to an active family! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org July 16, 2025, 7:46 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pookie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
