My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:3Raver is a 2-year-old, 56-pound mastiff-pittie mix with a big heart and a playful spirit. His coat is like midnight—deep black with a quiet kind of beauty that catches the light just right. After a tough past marked by neglect, he's learning what it means to feel safe, cared for, and loved—and he's ready to find a home that will help him continue that journey. This strong, sweet boy has a goofy side that's impossible not to love. Toys? He'll entertain himself for ages. Treats? He's highly food motivated, which makes training and bonding all the more rewarding. He is eager to connect, to trust, and to be part of something stable and kind. Raver seems inexperienced with other dogs, so a solo-pet home is best unless his future family includes a confident, well-matched dog who can help show him the ropes through carefully managed introductions. He's looking for adopters who will see past where he came from and focus on where he's going—people who understand that healing takes time, and that love, structure, and treats go a long way. Raver is ready for a home that's as committed to him as he will be to them. He is a dog who's walked through darkness and is now ready to step into the warmth of a new beginning.
