My story

Meet Josie! Josie is a joyful, affectionate 3-year-old Cavapoo with a zest for life and a heart full of love. She has a soft gray poodle-like coat, expressive eyes, and an eager-to-please personality that shines through in everything she does. Energetic and intelligent, Josie knows her basic commands and loves to show off her skills, especially if it means earning a treat or belly rub!Josie is extremely loving. She bonds closely with her people and other dogs and has never shown aggression. She thrives in a calm and patient environment where she feels safe and loved. She’s also quite playful and enjoys stuffed animals and tough chew toys, often rolling on her back in happiness after a good play session or cuddle.Josie does best when kept on a consistent routine. She is fully house-trained and crate-trained, though she may whine a little when crated. While she is not excessively vocal, she has shown some separation anxiety in the past—particularly when left completely alone without people or another dog. Because of this, she’s not suited for apartment living or homes with shared walls, but she does just fine if another dog is present when her humans are out.Josie has a high energy level and loves to run and play. A fenced yard is a must, as she is a bit of an escape artist and loves to chase squirrels. She would thrive in an active home and could even make a great jogging partner. While she enjoys downtime snuggling on the couch, she absolutely needs daily play and exercise to stay balanced and happy.Josie is a wonderful companion with a playful heart and a gentle soul. She’s active, affectionate, and eager to be part of a loving home that understands her needs. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
