SCRUFFY*

My story

Scruffy is a 2 year old terrier mix who`s still learning that people aren`t so scary. She came to PACC as a stray and is under-socialized and unsure of new situations. She`s just recently gone to a foster home so we`re still waiting to see her progress with her socialization. Scruffy is housebroken (she’s a pro with a doggy door!), crate trained, and has shown great behavior around other small dogs (having a dog friend in her forever home may help her confidence.) She’d do best in a calm, patient home, ideally with another pup to introduce her to her new human family. Like many dogs who’ve had limited socialization Scruffy is still unsure about recieving attention from people and has shown a lot of fear with handling so far. She will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to go slow and give her space to feel safe.
