My story

Meet Chilé! – This handsome guy may come off a little tough at first, but it's only because he's still learning to trust the world around him. Slightly fearful in new situations, Chile sometimes acts protective, which is why an experienced dog owner and a calm, kid-free home—or one with older, respectful kids—would be the best fit for him.Once he feels safe, Chile reveals his sweet and loyal nature. He’s both dog- and cat-friendly, fully house- and crate-trained, and knows how to use a dog door like a pro. With the right person by his side, Chile is sure to blossom into a devoted companion. If you have a little patience and a lot of love, Chile might just be your perfect match.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas.
