My story

Hola! My name is Diesel and here's more information about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Mixed Lab Age: 1 year 2 months approx. Gender: Male Weight: 44lbs (19.96kg) Current Location: Baja California, Mexico RESCUE STORY - My brother and I were abandoned on the streets of a small town in Mexico. It took a few attempts by some kind-hearted people to rescue us as we were just so shy and unsure. Out there, we were simply trying to survive, but deep down, I always hoped someone kind would come along. And thankfully, someone did! When I first arrived, I was scared but I’ve come such a long way. With time, patience, and love, I’ve started to feel safe again. I may have had a rough start in life, but I’m now ready for a warm bed, loving care, and a family to call my own. I hope it can be with you! TEMPERAMENT - When I was first rescued, I was very shy but since then I’ve blossomed into a spunky, loving little guy! I have so much affection to give, and I’m always happy to return the love I receive. I’m still young and have a good amount of energy, though it’s said to be at a medium level, just enough to keep things fun and playful without being overwhelming. ENERGY LEVEL - Medium  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown Dogs – I'm used to other dogs that are in my rescue, as pictured! Cats – Unknown (but testing can be requested) PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in progress. I have regular leash training sessions and I continue to improve, here you can see! House trained – Unknown, as I have not lived outside the rescue center yet! I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained –  Not yet crate trained and I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – Unknown and I may need some additional training and patience.  HEALTH NOTES: I have been neutered and am current on all my vaccinations including monthly flea/tick medication and I will be microchipped before I leave the centre.   NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 + PST and GST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2394814##
