My story

Meet Brad Sitt! He's a very sweet, friendly boy who loves pets and gets along well with other dogs. He came from Bakersfield Strays, an organization that helps place stray dogs from Bakersfield into rescues that will find them homes. Kern County is overwhelmed with homeless animals. Shelter Hope takes in as many as we can to make sure they don't end up in high kill shelters. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please fill out our online application and our adoption counselor will reach out to you to discuss meeting your new family member. Please be aware if we have already approved another party for the dog you are interested in, you may not get a call from us.
