My story

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   If Summer could tell us her story, I'm sure we would be in tears. She was found tied by a short leash, to a chicken coop which had one lone rooster inside with no hens in sight. Doesn't take much to imagine what was likely going on there. She was clearly not cared for, her fur in horrible mats, and her food bowl was full of chicken feed. Our rescue angels in NC saved her and immediately had her groomed. She has the cutest freckles! Unfortunately, to no one's surprise, she tested positive for heartworms. She is due to finish her treatment at the end of May and we would love to find her a loving foster or forever home to help her heal, inside and out. We believe Summer is 2-ish yrs old and weighs 20 lbs.   **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.
