My story

How this pet arrived: Katara was brought in by her previous owner on May 1, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Meet Katara, an independent cat with a bold personality and clear opinions. She's not a starter cat - Katara knows what she wants, how she wants it, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She's looking for a cat-savvy adopter who understands feline body language and knows how to respect a cat's boundaries. Petting? Only when invited. Space? Absolutely essential. If you're someone who appreciates a strong-willed feline companion, Katara might just be your match. She should have access to a safe outdoor area or be supervised during outdoor time (think catio or fenced in yard). However, she must remain in her new space for at least 4-6 weeks after adoption, as she is likely to flee if given outdoor access too soon. This adjustment period is critical to helping her settle in and feel secure. She'll also need a safe place to sleep, fresh water, and regular meals. Katara prefers a calm, predictable environment with no children, dogs, or other cats. New people can make her uneasy, and she's at her best when she doesn't have to share her space. Once she's feeling secure, she can be quite social - she likes being nearby and may even seek out your company when the mood strikes. For her journey home, please bring a secure, top-loading cat carrier to ensure a safe and low-stress ride. Katara is a confident, complex cat looking for someone who truly gets her-someone who will offer her space, patience, and respect on her terms. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 8.5 Age: 9yrs 1mths 1wks
