Forest

My story

Forest is an attractive mocha colored 6-year-old 65 pound terrier pit that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/10 as a stray. He is on the stocky side. It appears he has been well cared for. He appears to be smiling in several photos. That’s probably because he looks on the bright side and feels like people will see both his inner and outer beauty. I was met in his kennel with tail wags, and he continued to wag his tail throughout our time together. He was very curious, alert and explored the yard thoroughly. He frequently went by the door indicating he wanted to go in. Its easy to see he was an indoor pup and wants to have that again. He’s well mannered. He didn’t try to jump on me. He doesn’t appear to know the sit command. He wants to please. He takes treats gently. He is very sweet, friendly, happy, and lively (but not overly so.) He didn`t have any interest in meeting other dogs. He did do his business in the yard as soon as he found grass. He has a semi- strong, pull on on the leash, but that can be expected for a dog that weigh 65 pounds. He would love for you to save a place on the couch or have a bed on the floor at your feet under the air conditioning!
