My story

Lisa is a six-year-old Bulldog mix who recently came into our care. She was found as a stray, so little is known about her history. So far, she has loved everyone that she has met, although she cowers if you move too quickly when she first meets you. She loves to cuddle and is very gentle. She met another dog and they got along great! She weighs 27 lbs and has an adorable stubby body with short legs. It appears that she has had several litters of puppies, but that is in her past since she is scheduled to be spayed on 5/13. Since we don't know her history, we will not place her in a home with children under 14 years old. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
