My story

*Currently Residing in a Foster Home. Please submit an adoption application for me online to meet me in person! *Hello! My name is Asher, and I’m a 2-year-old Lab Mix. I was rescued from a locked and abandoned house in Celaya, Mexico, and I’m so grateful to have found a new chance at life.I’m 100% potty trained and can even understand the Spanish word for `sit` (siéntate)! We’ve been working on some English words and hand gestures too. While I’m not super treat-driven, I’m definitely a fast learner—super smart, if I do say so myself!I absolutely LOVE chasing squirrels and birds—I`m definitely a “bird dog” at heart. I’ll stalk and point just like a pro hunting dog, and I have to say, it’s pretty hilarious to watch.Like most dogs, I’m all about belly rubs—seriously, the more the better! I’m kind, well-behaved, and love giving hugs. I get along with other dogs, though I like to take my time to warm up to new friends. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I’m open to the idea.I’d say I have a medium energy level—just the right amount of playfulness! I love playing with ropes and my Kong toy. Fun fact: I know the commands “No!” and “Stop!”—so I’ve got good manners too!If you think we could be a great match, I’d love for you to submit an adoption application for me today!
