My story

Do you remember that shy little pup, the one who was spotted timidly wandering along the old Columbia Road in Charlotte? It took hours of patient coaxing and bribery using raw hamburger to finally catch her and bring her to safety. Well, we are thrilled to share that Buttercup is now ready to find her forever home!   Over the past few weeks, this once-timid pup has blossomed remarkably. With the help of volunteers and staff, she has made countless friends and learned to navigate the world around her. She's developed her trust in people and has begun to come out of her shell, discovering that she can enjoy the company of others. Through gentle guidance, she has also mastered the art of walking on a leash, something that was once daunting for her. She’s  finally learned how to “dog”, engaging in playful antics and exploring her environment with newfound confidence.   She has shown herself to be incredibly sociable, getting along famously with other dogs, and even warming up to cats and children.    To truly thrive, Buttercup would greatly benefit from a living environment that includes a spacious, secure fenced yard where she can romp and play freely. Having another canine friend to share her adventures with would be the icing on the cake, providing her with companionship and helping her to flourish even more. She is ready to bring joy and warmth to a family that will love her unconditionally, and in return, she promises to be a faithful and loving companion.
