Friends is back! Most of the cast anyway 😊 Chandler and Rachel are the last of the litter to be adopted! These babies are ready to love their way into your heart and home. Chandler is about 34 lbs and Rachel is about 27 lbs. We estimate they are about 10 months old; therefore, they are considered mostly full grown. We do not believe they will get any bigger. We do not know who their parents are but based on size they are some sort of terrier mix. They have very slick, short black hair that is BEAUTIFUL. These sweet babies were found on the street by a local animal control, dodging in and out of traffic and on the verge of getting run over. The shelter was full, so they contacted us to help. We knew we could not leave the babies out there, so we got them to safety in a foster home. 2 of the litter has been adopted, and 2 remain. They are some of the most gentle, friendly pups we’ve had. They are so excited when they’re around people. They just love everybody they meet, including children. They could run around the yard and play for as long as you’d let them, as long as they’re around their people. They love to be your shadow and get lots of pets. They’ll roll on their bellies in excitement, hoping you’ll rub their bellies. They are mostly house trained and are crate trained. They LOVE other dogs and have met inside and outside kitties and have no issues with them. They could live very happily with kids, cats and dogs or without any other animals. Rachel is the runt of the litter. She is a little bottle rocket, always on the go and so full of energy and zoomies. She is one of the most outgoing of the litter. She LOVES her treats and is very food motivated. She is not picky at all about what she gets, as long as it’s food and love. Once she’s done playing, she will be the first to cuddle up to you, very sweet. Rachel would LOVE to be adopted with children to play with or in a home that loves a shadow and loves their adventures/hikes/journeys. The foster jokes she’s part mountain goat because she can scale the highest of fences if left unattended, mainly because she just gets bored outside. She does not run off and is not destructive. Her biggest desire is to always be with you. Chandler is the 3rd smallest of the litter and the smallest male. He is the gentlest of the litter and isn’t in your face like Rachel can be. He is calmer and gentler than Ross and Rachel. He has the saddest eyes when he looks up at you, almost worried he’s done something wrong. Chandler likes to explore but he is more cautious about it and lets the other dogs try everything first. He plays everything safely. Another dog in the home would benefit Chandler as he can gain confidence from another doggy. A medium to low key home would be best for this sweet boy. They both love their toys. You can apply to adopt Chandler or Rachel at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org These babies are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, heart worm negative, current on prevention, dewormed and microchipped.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rachel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
