My story

Meet Frankie – A Gentle Soul Who's Ready to Feel Safe and Loved **We are looking for a Fospice Foster for Frankie. The rescue will cover all medical expenses!!** Quick Facts: - Name: Frankie - Age: 7 Years Old - Weight: 45 lbs - Breed: House - House-Trained: Yes - Crate-Trained: No crate needed - Good with Dogs: Yes - Good with Cats: Yes – loves to cuddle with kittens - Good with Kids: Best in a quiet home with older children or adults - Special Needs: Ongoing UTI care and pain management (gabapentin and carprofen) - Fence Required: Preferred, for supervised outdoor time - Temperament: Quiet, sweet, sensitive, gentle Frankie's Story and Personality: Frankie has endured more than any dog should. He came to us after suffering unimaginable cruelty—he was severely beaten, and his spine healed incorrectly, leaving his back permanently curved. Though his injuries can’t be corrected, Frankie has not let his past define him. He is thriving in his foster home, showing incredible resilience and the capacity for deep, unconditional love. Once terrified of human touch, Frankie now enjoys affection and will seek out companionship from people and animals alike. His sweet nature shines brightest when he’s snuggled up beside a kitten or quietly laying near his foster family. Frankie is a soft, calm presence in the home, and his gentle spirit brings peace to everyone around him. Despite his physical limitations and chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs), Frankie lives each day with quiet joy and gratitude. He receives regular veterinary therapy for pain management and is monitored closely for ongoing medical care, which will be sponsored by CrisisDogsNC. Frankie's Ideal Home: - A calm, loving environment where he can feel safe - Someone home often, who will be patient and gentle - No stairs or physical demands due to spinal injury - A family committed to ongoing care and support - A household with other animals would be fine—Frankie loves friends Why You'll Love Frankie: - He’s gentle, kind, and gets along with all animals - He’s past the puppy stage and fully house-trained - He brings quiet companionship and heartfelt loyalty - His resilience will inspire you every single day - Your care gives him the comfort he’s never known before Ready to Give Frankie the Safe Haven He Deserves? Frankie is fully vetted and under medical sponsorship. If you have room in your heart for a dog who will love you despite a painful past—and if you're ready to offer him the peace and comfort he has long deserved—apply today at www.crisisdogsnc.org. https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-foster/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Frankie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
