My story

Hi, I'm Leah, and I volunteered to move from the South to make room for another cat at that shelter. So adopting me means you are saving two cats, how great is that!? Since arriving, I've been adjusting and each week I've gotten less shy. I do crave companionship and I know my sweet personality will bloom in a loving home. I take treats nicely from your hand ... that's how I'm learning to trust new people. I like all treats - crunchy or lick-able. They make me feel safe and loved, and they're delicious too! You need to be patient with me though... if you're too quick I might give you a hiss or swat of my paw. That doesn't mean I don't like you, I'm just telling you to slow down. My dream is to find a quiet, calm home where I can feel secure and loved. Could it be yours? I may seem timid now, but I promise you, my love is worth the wait. This is great for a shy cat like me because you can give me a break from the shelter and you can learn how I adapt to your home before you make the adoption "official." To participate in the Foster to Adopt program, you will need to complete the Foster to Adopt application which requires you to watch two short videos (less than 9 minutes total for the two) and answer 8 questions.
