CHEZ

My story

Chez is a sensitive soul who’s still learning to feel safe in new environments. When he first arrived, he was overwhelmed and unsure, expressing his fear by barking and trying to keep his distance. With time and patience, he began to settle and showed he could walk calmly on leash with guidance. Chez will need a very experienced, adult-only home with a slow, hands-off approach to help him build trust. He’s not currently treat-motivated, but we believe with consistency and the right environment, he has the potential to open up. Chez is looking for someone who understands that trust takes time — and is willing to help him feel safe, one small step at a time.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. This pet would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner
