My story

Hi y'all! My name is Fergus! I am the sweetest puppy you are ever going to meet. I just turned 5 months old, I have luxurious black fur, and a perfect white heart on my chest! Through no fault of my own, I found myself in an animal shelter along with my brother. My dad came for my sibling but left me there because he couldn't take care of us both. It was a super scary place until a nice lady from SCLRR came in and saw me and the rest is history! About me... I am a sweet, gentle playful pup! I love my toys, and playing ball! I even bring it back for you to throw again and again! I am crate trained, and comfortable being alone for short periods of time. I'm learning so many new things too! Walking on a leash, car ride etiquette and learning to potty outside. There is a dog savvy cat here and I'm very curious! I tried to play with her, but she wasn't interested so I moved on. I'm currently with 5 other older dogs and I get along great with all of them. I take treats gently, and I'm learning to sit, come, and oh yeah...not jump on people...haha! I'm looking for a family that will patiently and gently continue my training. I really want to please and learn, but I'm a sensitive guy...I do best with active, gentle people that will enjoy teaching me to be the very best boy. I haven't been around any small children, but I had a play date with some kids that were 5, 10 and 15 and had the time of my life! Currently shoes are my favorite 'toy', and I think throw rugs are great to drag around too, but my foster mom tells me no and gives me the proper toy to play with. I'm learning to make better choices!! I am happy and ready to go home with my forever family! I will be here waiting and learning while you take care of the business of coming to get me!
