My story

Seeking an energetic and social cat to follow you around like a shadow? Shadow Jr. is the one for you! Shadow Jr. is a spicy adult, charcoal grey cat with a big purrsonality. He needs to go to the home of an experienced cat owner. Shadow Jr. wants to be your one and only kitty and must be adopted as an only pet! Shadow Jr. came to the shelter because he was too rambunctious for his previous home. Shadow Jr. loves to run, chase toys, and seek out affection. He’s a sweet boy with so much love to give. Shadow Jr. loves to play with wands and strings and sit next to your face and purr in your ear. The issue is that he wants to give his human playmates “love nips” which are not appreciated. He tends to become overstimulated and can become nippy when he is finished with your affection. Shadow Jr. has played too rough in the past with other cats, which is why he needs to be on his own. He will do best in a home of adult, cat savvy individuals who can read his body language to understand when he is ready to discontinue petting and continue playing! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
