My story

Name: Maji Sex: Male Estimated Age: 10 months old (as of 12/20) Best Guess for Breed: Hound Mix Weight: About 30 lbs Lives With: Dogs and people! Housebroken? Maji is potty trained and crate trained. Story: Maji was rescued from North Carolina during Hurricane Helene. We are so happy to have him safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Maji is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Maji is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Maji will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! What my foster says: Maji is really great at home. He loves cuddles and digging through the toy bin to find something to chew on. He loves playing with our Husky mix so he does great with bigger dogs. He’s been around cats and seems to be okay around them (he doesn’t go off chasing them). He also does well outside. He never runs far away from us when he’s off leash. He could use some training on leash, but he definitely is getting the hang of it. He’s great in cars (we’ve even taken him with us on a 3 hour road trip)! He’s potty and crate trained as well. He may need some time to adjust and trust a new family, so give him the time and patience to settle in. Overall, he’s such a sweet boy and would be a great addition to the family. The fee to adopt Maji is $475. That covers the cost of all his vaccines, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
