My story

Pups don't come any cuter than Rebel! Rebel is estimated to be around 7 months old and the ultimate lovebug! If she doesn't win you over with her adorable buggy eyes and mohawk, she definitely will steal your heart with her sweet personality. She is the perfect mix of cuddly and curious and would be a wonderful companion for anyone who needs some extra zest in their life. Rebel currently weighs just under 7lbs, and we don't expect that she will get much bigger. Rebel came to us from a local shelter after she was found as a stray. No owners ever came forward for her, so we wasted no time finding a foster home for her. She hasn't been with us for long, but we already love her so much and can't wait for her to start the rest of her life with her fur-ever family! Rebel is the cutest little girl and gets compliments everywhere she goes. She got her name as she reminded the shelter staff of a little punk rocker with her adorable mohawk. She can be a little shy at first, but she is quick to warm up and become your new BFF. Rebel is a great mix of playful and chill and is happy to curl up on the couch or bed by your side while you get work done. She has been loving her daily strolls and would be a great walking buddy for someone wanting a moderate-energy companion. Rebel is still learning all of her basic manners and needs a family dedicated to helping her continue to learn. Rebel has done well living with another small dog and isn't afraid to ask for space. She could do well living with another small dog in her new home, but she also would be more than happy to be your spoiled only pup. We haven't seen Rebel around cats before, but she might do well living with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Due to her size, Rebel would do best in an adult-only home or a home with kids 10 years and older. Rebel has been doing well with her housetraining, but is still learning and will need a family who can be patient with her. She has done well in her crate overnight and when alone. She will bark for a few minutes, but then will settle in for the night. Rebel has been doing well living in an apartment. Rebel is such a darling girl, and she deserves a family just as great as her! If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Rebel's adoption fee is $300.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. May 12, 2025, 4:00 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rebel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
