My story

Animal Profile: Boone is a 5.5 month old, male Lab/Cattle dog  X (guessing), puppy who will be joining us along with his siblings from Texas on 03/14/25. Puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into foster care with our rescue partner. He is a happy sweet pup, doing well in his foster home, friendly with dogs, cats and kids, awaiting his freedom ride to the PNW. Foster Update:   Boone is a very sweet puppy who loves to play with his toys, nap with his human, and is a quick learner. He is friendly with people and dogs, but cautious when meeting them for the first time. He's food motivated and is picking up basic training easily. He loves to be held and cuddled and is very gentle when taking treats. He sleeps through the night in his crate with the standard puppy potty breaks.   Boone is currently being fostered by one of our trainers and is learning to  walk on leash, be quiet in the crate when left alone, and is building confidence while acclimating to noisy city life. He's an absolute sweetheart you can't help but fall in love with! Boone will need a family with breed experience who will be dedicated to his continued training, a securely fenced yard, and will do best with a canine companion to help show him the ropes. We are not condidering apartments for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
